MBK has moved flood relief machinery to Hulu Terengganu starting with cleaning activities (collecting flood waste) in Hulu Terengganu, Terengganu for 4 days and 3 nights. The assistance mission involved a total of 30 people of which 12 people from the Special Action Unit, 25 other staff including officers/secretariat and drivers.
Party SWCorp Pahang together with Alam Flora Sdn. Bhd. also assisted with a staff of 10 people and 3 washing machines. The form of assistance provided is energy services to clean the affected areas along with machinery from the Kuantan City Council (MBK).
The inauguration and Flag Off of the relief mission convoy was completed by the Mayor of Kuantan, YH Dato 'Hamdan bin Hussin at 9.00 am and the team arrived at the Hulu Land and District Office at 12.00 noon. A briefing on the flood disaster in Hulu Terengganu was given by the Hulu Terengganu District and Land Office Officer before the cleaning work was carried out at SK Sungai Berua.
