To establish and implement an efficient financial management system in order to achieve a strong and stable financial position and increase the revenue of Kuantan City Council.

Objectives of the Treasury Department

  1. Implement control of financial activities based on the financial procedures and regulations outlined.
  2. Adopt the administrative system in accordance with the rules set out in the General Orders, Treasury Instructions, Policies and Financial Regulations of Kuantan City Council and Government Circulars issued from time to time.
  3. To ensure that the financial position of Kuantan City Council is always in a stable condition and able to implement the requirements of the Budget provided.
  4. Ensure that the principles of accountability in financial management are achieved.
