In conjunction with the First Anniversary Celebration of Kuantan City Council (MBK) and Tourism Pahang launched Kuantan Car Free Day @ Green Hour today as a measure to conserve the environment. The program was started by the Chairman of the Pahang State Tourism, Culture, Environment, Plantation and Commodities Committee, YB. Dato 'Sri Mohd. Sharkar Bin Shamsudin is one of the initiatives to make Kuantan a low carbon city.

The program which will be held each with various side activities will also involve various agencies and GLCs that will participate. This effort can also strengthen unity, strengthen relationships in the community and increase awareness of the importance of all parties to care for the environment as well as a leisure activity with the family on weekends.

Thank you to the participants who came to Dataran Sayangi Kuantan as early as 7 am to participate in this program and gave a very encouraging response.
