Garbage Collection Program While Leisure

The Mayor of Kuantan, Dato 'Hamdan bin Hussin also participated in gotong royong to clean Sungai Galing Besar in the KUDAH - Collect Garbage While Leisure Program, organized by the Ministry of Environment and Water (KASA) on the banks of Sungai Galing Besar. Now the fate of the galing river is very sad with various items dumped by irresponsible people such as bad tires, domestic garbage, workshop waste, industrial waste being dumped arbitrarily into the river.

Rivers are the main source of water for life. The shores of the Galing River trail must be cared for and valued together. People are asked to appreciate this very precious gift of god. Residents along the galing river must keep the galing river clean. Together we prevent irresponsible acts of polluting the river.
