Joint Duty Assessment Tax

To ensure that services such as cleaning, road repair, street lighting maintenance and other municipal services are implemented properly by the MBK, it is the joint responsibility of all Kuantan residents to pay assessment tax as provided in the Local Government Act 1976.

In this regard, the Council is now intensifying efforts to give awareness to the people of Kuantan on the importance of clearing the assessment tax. The 'door to door' approach is carried out specifically to identify Kuantan residents who have not yet paid assessment tax and make visits and provide advice and information.

The majority of Kuantan residents have the awareness to pay this assessment tax but there are still a few who are selfish and unfair to others who pay assessment tax by not fulfilling this responsibility.

To the people of Kuantan who pay assessment tax, well done and CONGRATULATIONS. You are a brilliant citizen.
