Tanjung Lumpur night market has been selected as a 'pilot-project' for the implementation of a sustainable and smart night market in Kuantan. The application, implementation and cultivating of the values of sustainability, 'sustainable', and smart among night market traders along Kuantan as a Beautiful Sustainable City. Cultivation of sustainability, new values as well as campaigns in making 'Kuantan a Green City' such as;
- Full implementation of the conversion from the use of generators to portable and rechargeable electrical lamps.
- 100% use environmentally friendly plastic (biodegradable).
- Recycling bag use campaign.
- 100% no use of plastic straws.
- 100% without polystyrene traces.
- Recycle campaign.
- Used oil recycling infaq campaign (a good approach from the organizers when the money from the sale of used oil is re -infaq for the benefit of traders).
- New initiatives and innovations in ensuring food safety.
- Standardization, tidiness, cleanliness of traders, premises/organization area.
- The personality of an excellent food handler.
- Excellent and neat implementation of SOPs.
- 100% full compliance criteria guidelines KPKT Malaysia.
- Implementation of online payment alternative (cashless).
- A new innovation for the use of dealer sales desks.
- Implementation and application of safety features at the organization site (secretariat desk/canopy, staff, fire extinguisher, first aid kit).
- Implementation and cultivating of hygiene among traders.
In this ceremony, a certificate of recognition was presented to the organizers, namely the Pahang Brotherhood and Friendship Welfare Association and ESME (Excellent Success Management Enterprise) as the night market management and traders on the successful implementation and full compliance with criteria to achieve Sustainable and Smart Night Market.
